Exploration of the revival and creative design planning of the Hayama Villa

Haya Sanso (1305-1 Nakagakiuchi, Daito City, Osaka Prefecture) is located in Daito City, Osaka Prefecture, to the north and west of Mt. Ikoma, with an altitude of 100 meters. It connects Shijonawate City, Kadoma City, Moriguchi City, Higashiosaka City in Osaka Prefecture and Ikoma City in Nara Prefecture. It is a 28-minute walk (1,903 meters) from Nozaki Station on the Gakkentoshi Line.

Surrounding environment: 10 minutes walk from Osaka Sangyo University (750 meters); 7.5 kilometers from Osaka Electro-Communication University, 20 minutes by car; 27 minutes by car from Nara Institute of Science and Technology, 13.1 kilometers. It is 30 minutes by car from Osaka Castle, 18 km away.

Due to the impact of the new coronavirus pandemic, Haya Sanso is currently closed. Prior to this, there were 270 seats in the yakisoba, yakisoba, and hot pot restaurant sections. The banquet hall can accommodate 120 people at a time, and from the villa you can overlook and see the dazzling night view of Osaka.

But once the business is shut down, restarting it faces many challenges. One is the impact and sedimentation of mud and sand inside the building. Second, the previous group tour reception business model no longer exists.

This page has a detailed introduction to the current situation. In addition, this webpage also provides a detailed introduction to the surrounding environment, transportation, and topography, http://nekotani.blog.fc2.com/blog-entry-2512.html.

It has also been mentioned on the Internet and social networking sites as a haunted attraction (https://youtu.be/LAFGQxc-7bE?si=QAM9VdXuc7xxwTjl), which together poses a challenge to its future revival and creation.

Our thinking:

1. Continue to explore innovative solutions for the regeneration and revitalization of Hasa Villa; solicit and compete for international design proposals.

2. Learn from cases of regeneration and revitalization at home and abroad, such as WE Hotel Toya, which was converted from a nursing home into a hotel by a team from Kengo Kuma & Associates.

3. Adding complex functions, such as industrial technology parks;

4. Update the route and expand the acquisition of surrounding facilities;

5. Introduce international capital.

Around 4:05pm on the 3rd, a call was made to 119 reporting "white smoke rising" from an abandoned building in Nakagakiuchi, Daito City, Osaka Prefecture. According to the Osaka Prefectural Police Shijonawate Police Station, the fire burned about 30 square meters of the first floor of a three-story reinforced concrete building, and was extinguished about an hour later. No one was injured. The police believe that someone may have started the fire, and are investigating the possibility of arson of a non-residential building.

According to the police, the building was originally a large yakiniku restaurant "Haya Sanso", but it is no longer open and has become a ruin. It has been featured as a haunted spot on the Internet and on social networking sites (SNS).
